February 12: Abraham Lincoln Birthday, Guard Duty at State Capitol during the morning.  Contact person is Gage Stermensky by email or phone at 402-419-6776 or Marc Witkovski by email or phone at 402-304-4952.  Check with Gage or Marc for uniform of the day.  Dress for cold weather.

In the afternoon the City is hosting the Lincoln Day Celebration at South-East High School at 2930 South 37th Street.

March ??: First Nebraska Drill Day likely at Camp Creek Threshers near Waverly, Nebraska.  Captain Andersen would like to schedule a drill day before the Shiloh event in early April.  Final date and location is yet to be determined. 

April 6-9: 155th Shiloh Reenactment.  This will be a max effort event.  The Muddy River Battalion plans to portray the original First Nebraska that actually fought at this battle in 1862.  We are looking to car pool to the event in Tennessee but initial registration of $15 is due in February 15th. May 6-7: Tactical at Verdigre, NE.  Optional event.  Shane Johnson of the Fremont Pathfinders is organizing this event.  This tactical is held on a 600 acre farm and tactical will last all day.  Truly a 'civil war immersion' style of event.  For First Nebraska contact Josh Andersen by email or phone 402-432-7687.  Distance from Omaha is 190 miles and from Lincoln is 182 miles. 

 

May 20-21: First Nebraska Spring Muster at Fort Hartsuff near Ord NE.  Fremont Pathfinders are organizing this event.  Contact for First Nebraska is Josh Andersen by email or phone 402-432-7687. Distance from Omaha is 179 miles and from Lincoln is 160 miles.  This event has been move from March to May to take advantage of better weather.

 

May 29: Memorial Day Service at Prospect Hill in Omaha, Nebraska.  Please form up at 9:30 am.  Contact person is Jhude Sedlacek, by email or phone at 402-391-9648.

June 10-11: Bolivar Missouri, Hulston Mill Reenactment.  Optional event.  Muddy River Battalion event. Contact person is Josh Andersen by email or phone 402-432-7687.  Distance from Omaha is 335 miles and from Lincoln is 350 miles. 

 

July 4: Ralston, Nebraska Parade.  Form up at 12:00 noon and step off at 1:00 p.m.  Contact person is Lloyd Coates by phone at 402-498-1830.

 

July 22-23: Nebraska Sesquicentennial event at Ash Hollow Nebraska.  Living History.  Ash Hollow is north west of Ogallala Nebraska or at the upper end of Lake McConaughy.  

 

September 2-3: Nebraska Sesquicentennial event at Ft. Kearney, Nebraska.   Living History.  Contact Josh Andersen by email or phone 402-432-7687.

November 19: Lincoln, Nebraska.  Living History in remembrance of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
